Surgery and Hospitalization

Drs. Waguespack and Levine primarily work at St. Vincent's Hospital. They do, however, maintain privileges and work regularly at Children's Hospital, Caraway Methodist Medical Center, Baptist Medical Center-Montclair, Brookwood Medical Center, and the Outpatient Care Center. Surgery or admission may be arranged at these facilities should your clinical situation demand or your insurance so direct.

Every effort is made to fully explain surgical procedures, risks, complications, and options prior to your scheduled surgery. Please feel free to call the office for any additional information you need. If for some reason, your surgery needs to be rescheduled, please call our office 48 hours in advance. Likewise, please call if you have any problems or questions after you leave the hospital. Make every effort to keep your post-op visits; care performed in the office afterward may be as important as the surgery itself.

An anesthesiologist (an MD who specializes in the administration of anesthetic agents) is responsible for surgical anesthesia. Questions regarding this portion of the anticipated surgery as well as those about bills for these services should be so directed.

Any information provided on this Web site should not be considered medical advice or a substitute for a consultation with a physician. If you have a medical problem, contact your local physician for diagnosis and treatment.
